Mere destroying the checkpoints will not serve the purpose, stricter action is needed

Pak army has once again executed the abominable act it has been doing even before and is notorious for. On Monday at 8.25 a.m. 647 Mujahedeen Battalion of Pak Army attacked Indian post from its Pipley post in Krishna Valley sector in Poonchharea of Jammu & Kashmir. Then theystarted firing also on a nearby post of Indian army. Rockets and mortars were fired by the  Pak army. Out of these one of our posts is beyond the fencing. Usually fencing stands very much inside the line of control. Our soldiers even go to the fencing for patrolling. It is also the same in this area of Krishna valley. Just after this firing a squad of 10 soldiers was moved for connect patrolling between the two posts. But the Border Action Team (BAT) of Pak army under cover the firing had infiltrated into Indian Territoryand was sitting in ambush. This Pak BAT team attacked on our patrolling party in which two soldiers were martyred and one was wounded. BAT not only misbehaved and mangled the corpses of the martyrs but beheaded them also. The army officer posted in the area said that Pak had planned of this attack. That is why the Pak army shot rockets and 120mm mortars also in this attack. Normally these big weapons are not used in ceasefire violation. Not only this, when the patrolling party reached the fencing the BAT was already there sitting in ambush. It’s not the first instance of barbarity with the corpses of Indian soldiers. On 22nd November 2016 one corpse of three martyrs in Machhil sector of Kashmir was vandalized. Corpse of martyr Mandeep Singh of Sikh Regiment was mangled in Machhil on 28th October 2016. Even earlier similar acts have been done on 8th January 2013, in June 2008 and February 2000 also. The fresh incident of Pakistani action against India can also be referred as a surgical strike in one way. Infiltration upto 250 meters inside Indian territory by Pak soldiers crossing the line of control and firing mortars and rockets is not a normal incident. Why Pakistan did Pakistan resort to such barbarity?suchan abominable act? There may be many reasons. Peace of many days followed by continuously firing and now barbarity with corpses of Indian soldiers! Is it the result of relations getting tense between the Pak PM Nawaz Sharif and the Pak Army? Nawaz Sharif government is probably passing through the most challenging phase of its tenure. Ideological differences between Sharif Government and Pak army officials are already being reported. By vandalizing the corpses of Indian soldiers the Pak army intends to let down Nawaz Sharif in the eyes of the world. Exposure of such incident amidst the dialogues of Track-2 diplomacy between India and Pakistan shows that Pak army never wants to let this dialogue go ahead. Gap between Nawaz Sharif and Army is on rise and it is believed that the incident was conspired with the intention that no dialogues be started between the two nations in future. The statement of Pak Army Chief is also important that our nation will be supporting the political struggle of right to self-determination of Kashmiri people. Pak Army Chief General Kamar Jawed Bajwa had recently inspected the Pak posts at line of control too. Tensing the situation at border Pak wants to promote the disturbance in Kashmir. It may be a trick to create tension in the valley before the tourist season. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Israel; probably Pak thinks that India may use Israeli methods at its line of control. The question arises what should be the response of India? Though our army destroyed two checkpoints of Pakistan and killed 7 soldiers, but will it be able to stop such attacks? The death news of her father shocked the daughter of BSF Head Constable PremSagar of Deoria in UP. While the daughter was distressed over the martyrdom of her father, she has demanded the government for 50 heads of Pak soldiers in lieu of the martyrdom of her father. Since Tuesday morning posts are trending on twitter stating the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the “Weakest PM ever”. People are expressing anger on barbarity with soldiers using this hash-tag on social media. One person wrote : Unfortunately the Prime Minister, you are the weakest prime minister. Comparing Modi with Indira Gandhi another wrote: Undoubtedly Modi has made his policies for the progress of India, but on the national security front, Indira Gandhi was better. Another person wrote that the Prime Minister is just making castles in the air, Modi is a weak PM and a matter of shame for India. Meanwhile another surgical strike is also being demanded. Our view somehow differs. So far we understand that the Prime Minister and his government has given full rights to the Indian Army to respond to Pakistan in its own tone. If something lacks it’s on the part of our army. Political leadership neither says that you shouldn’t defend yourselves on border nor it can tell the army officials how should you respond to the attack of the enemy? Senior army officials understand the ground realities better. Pakistan is making frequent attacks on military bases and the Indian army is watching as mute spectator. Destroying two checkpoints or killing 6-7 soldiers is not any solution. Is our army and political leadership ready for it that all the terrorist camps in POK be destroyed at in a single strike? It has risk of a full-fledged war but we will have to take the risk. It is better to go for a do or die battlerather than dying every day. At least we will have peace for few days. Pakistan won’t understand easily. India should respond to it in the tone it understands well.
