Discrimination against the Blacks in the US

Nation-wide agitations are now-a-days on against police atrocities over minorities in the US.  In the past days huge violence broke out in Baltimore city against the US police in which twenty police officers were seriously injured. Rioters set fire to around one and a half dozen buildings. The city had to be put under curfew. The matter was related to the death of a 25 year old black youth named Prodi Grow in the police custody. The US police had arrested him on 12th April. He died in the police custody on 19th April. The present violence was its reaction, which burst out as anger against the police. Demonstrations in various cities of US are on against the police in support of the activists. So far the so-called world leader US was not worried since the demonstration was peaceful, but it worried when it became violent on Monday.  It has drawn the attention of entire world towards the violation of human rights in the US. Huge anger had broken out in minorities against the US police after the death of a black youth named Michael Brown in the police firing in Ferguson in August last year. A black was also subjected to the police atrocities in New York. US, the Protector of human rights is now itself the victim of apartheid. It is worried for religious freedom and safety of minorities in India, but not for what is going on there. It is bent upon preaching others. Six police officers have to be suspended due to current incidents, but the anger of blacks has not stopped. Baltimore is hardly 60 kms away from the US capital Washington. Process has been started for presidential elections in the US. The US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has called to set out the imbalanced criminal judiciary of the US and emphasized over the ending of the massive capturing age. Hillary has called at such a time when the tension is continuously growing due to the killing of black youths by the police officers. The US President Barak Obama has himself said that the discrimination and feeling of weakness due to the killings of the black citizens by the police has given a rise to the demonstrations in the country. Obama said that opportunities to an average black citizen in his life in comparison to his counterpart are worse i.e there is discrimination with the blacks in the US. Cases of the police atrocities against the minorities may become a major issue in the coming presidential elections. Moreover there is a question of the prestige of the US on international level and therefore the US cannot ignore it, nor deny the apartheid.
