In US presidential election, Republican candidate Donald Trump's victory has created a sensation in the world. No one had expected such victory. His victory is more unexpected because of two reasons- one, he doesn't fit into the traditional definition of the statesman and the second is that the US media, all think-tanks, intellectuals and political pundits along with Democratic Party were predicting that the American public will not make the mistake of electing a brash,blunt and inexperienced Trump as the president. Just two months ago, it was believed that this time there is no reason of hope for Republican Party in the comimg elections. And just a week ago, it seemed that he is giving tough competition to Hillary Clinton, the candidate of Democratic Party. Yet reputed newspapers like New York Times and surveys were claiming that Hillary has an and will win. But when the results came, Donald Trump not only won by heavy votes, but also proved all assessment wrong. First time, American main stream media had not only supported a candidate in the election, but also appealed to vote for him. American media had never made such appeal overtly in favor of any single candidate. 55 media institutions including CNN, New York Times, Washington Post directly sided with Clinton. But, Trump has roundly thrashed all. Donald Trump became America's older President. He is 70 years old. Before him, Ronald Reagan has become America's oldest president in the age of 69. However, Hillary Clinton in 69 years old. The margin by which Trump won explains that the electoral surveys and assessments have not failed often in India only, but also in US. This margin indicates that the experts from various spheres failed to understand the sentiments of American voters.
As far as triumph of Trump and India are concerned, it has to see that will Trump continue the great relationship with Narendra Modi which Obama has kept till the end of his term? Will his relationship with India be same? After Trump's triumph, it is expected that a new coalition will be formed in the whole world.And maybe a new world order is in the making. Russia's Vladimir Putin openly backed Trump. America, Russia, Israel and India could be the world's new coalition. The coalition is strictly opposed to Islamic fundamentalism and it is expected that now Islamic extremists will be restrained openly. Barack Obama kept playing a double game. Today, America's hypocrisy and duplicity is one of the biggest reason of global terrorism. Donald Trump seems a man of one track and his priorities are also obvious. One the one hand, Americans have lot of expectations from Trump, on the other hand, they are scared too.The entire world knows about his good and awful thoughts about women. Everyone knows that what he talks about minorities. His several deeds related to his character and behavior are being shown and told continuously to the entire world for last some time. We have heard his bombastic and dreamy speeches on economic policies and foreign relations, but we do not know how he is going to implement these policies? The American public had an opportunity to make history. If they had elected Hillary, she would be country's first woman President, but supporting Trump, they created a history to elect a non-political figure as country's President. It is clear that the American public didn't evaluate Trump on the basis of disputes related to his personal life, but in case of Hillary, it gave special attention to her role she played in foreign ministry.It seems that disputes related to Clinton foundation and e-mail server and her health were the main causes of her downfall. Overconfidence also proved fatal for Hillary. Whatever Trump said during his election campaign has created question around that what would he do now? But after victory, he is raising issue of feelings in the country to realize great dream. Today, America is divided and scared about his selection. His election is being openly opposed in major cities of America.For the last couple of days protest marches are being held throughout the United States. He is saying that he will take along everybody. It shows that Trump had said some things to win the election and some things to turn them into reality. As of now, he will focus on America. He informed that he has complete road map, but he didn't present it thought. It will be interesting to see the situation in the early days of his Presidency. As far as India is concerned, Trump has appreciated country and its leadership. He said that he is keen to make better relations with India at every level. So, we should not doubt him at all.Donald Trump will undoubtedly the most powerful head of government, but his path will become easier when he will be serious for his image as well as his policies. His first task would be to unite Americans.
