Industrialists for Modi as their future leader

अनिल नरेन्द्र

If the Indian industrialists were to choose next prime minister, we can say with confidence that they would have chosen Narendra Modi, the Gujarat Chief Minister as the future Prime Minister of India. The way prominent industrialists have praised Modi to skies and that too publicly; no other political leader has been praised. India Inc. has welcomed Narendra Modi, who has won Gujarat Assembly third time in a row. Prominent Industrialists from home and abroad gathered at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit of  Modi declared the Gujarat development model as the best and praised his leadership. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries described Narendra Bhai, a leader with grand vision, whereas his younger brother Anil Ambani, ADAG Chief even put him in league with Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. Anil Ambani said that today, Narendra Modi stands on the same pedestal as Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel who made Gujarat prominent. He said that Modi has clear vision like Arjun’s. First he decides the aim and then he concentrates his energy to attain it. Elder brother Mukesh Ambani said, Modi possesses remarkable potential to translate his ideas into reality. Proudly calling Reliance a Gujarati company, Mukesh said, we started from this very land and we have repeatedly return to this land to invest. Mukesh declared a new investment of 5,000 million rupees in Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Petroleum University. Having brought his ambitious Nano project from Singur to Sanand in Gujarat after the opposition by Mamata Bannerjee, Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group also said that it was foolish on the part of the Group not to invest in Gujarat earlier. It was our mistake of investing only through Tata Chemicals.  Now the Tata Group is ready to invest 34 thousand crores rupees in Gujarat. Anand Mahindra of Mahindra Group said, today people are talking about China model of development in Gujarat but day is not far when people will talk about Gujarat model of growth in China. Calling Gujarat pioneer in manufacturing sector, Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group said that Gujarat’s population is only 5% of country’s population, whereas its exports amount to 25% of India’s export. Attuning with India Inc., James Bevan, British High Commissioner said that he had come not only to forge business relations, but wanted to develop social relations with Gujarat. Gujarat is known for trade and investment as well as friendly relations. All the industrialists from Ambani brothers to Tata, Mahindra were unanimous in their view that Narendra Modi is the leader of the future. This is great achievement for Modi that the industry has displayed its trust in him and is ready to fully cooperate with him. Not only the industry, but a large section of Gujarat population has also expressed faith in him and this is not without reason. Modi has put forward a vision of modern development and also exhibited firm resolve to translate the vision into reality. He has emerged as a leader with forward looking and positive thinking. That is why the middle class in Gujarat, especially the youth have found a new hope in Modi. He provided the State with an administration, which was not only free from corruption, but was also an ideal State as far as law and order is concerned. There has been no riot excepting the Godhra incident since he has taken the reign of the State.  But there are some elements who want to keep this issue alive and are engaged in Modi’s leg-pulling. Modi’s problem is that majority of minorities do not want him to move ahead.
